Hobby Assault represents the next evolution of a story that began nearly two decades ago.
Our journey started back in 2008 as OzArmour, born as a forum, out of a genuine passion for the rc tank hobby community. By May 2009, we opened the very first version of our online store, laying down strong roots in the industry and building lasting connections with hobbyists across the country.
Behind Hobby Assault is over 27 years of hands-on retail and customer service experience. We know that buying parts, and upgrades isn't just a transaction - it’s for your passion project. Whether you're starting a new build, upgrading your favourite tank, or just looking for some guidance, we're here to help you bring your projects to life.
Over the years, we’ve forged strong, direct relationships with global manufacturers and suppliers. We are proud official distributors for industry-defining brands like Mato Toys and ElMod, ensuring you get authentic products, expert advice, and direct support straight from the sources that know them best.

The Beginning - OzArmour Is Born
Our roots go way back to 2008 when OzArmour was opened initially as an online community forum, that within its first year quickly grew to over 500 members.
Online Store Launched
In May 2009 OzArmour RC opened up shop, to give Australian RC Tankers a local option for purchasing parts, upgrades and accesories, to help keep their tanks operational.
Bigger And Better
In mid 2010 we moved into a much larger facility, and later in the year, OzArmour became the regional distributors of the ElMod brand. We also consolidated our forum into the much larger Hobby Havoc forum and became sponsors.
.com.au is launched
In 2015 we launched our new store at ozarmour.com.au and became regional distributors for Mato Toys.
10 Years In Business
We celebrated our 10 year milestone.
Hobby Assault Is Launched
After 2 1/2 years in the works, Hobby Assault finally launched in January. Built on the solid foundation of everything we learned with OzArmour, Hobby Assault is the next step on our journey to offer military hobbyists a one stop shop for all their needs.
