German Leopard 2A6
The Leopard 2A6 is a modern German main battle tank that entered service in 2001. It builds directly on the proven design of the Leopard 2A5, featuring advanced composite armor, high mobility, and a major upgrade in firepower with a longer 120mm main gun. Built by KNDS Deutschland (formerly Krauss-Maffei Wegmann), the tank has been adopted by Germany and numerous international NATO and allied partners, including Canada, Finland, and Greece. Several units have also been deployed in modern conflict zones, including international operations in Afghanistan and European military assistance efforts.
