StuG III

StuG III

Sturmgeschütz III - StuG III
The German StuG III was a low-profile assault gun and tank destroyer used during World War II. Built on the reliable Panzer III chassis, it replaced a traditional rotating turret with a fixed armored casemate, making it cheaper to build, mechanically dependable, and highly lethal in defensive combat.  Early models used a short 75mm howitzer, but later variants (like the Ausf. G) received a long-barreled 7.5 cm StuK 40 L/48 cannon, turning it into an effective anti-tank vehicle.
